Infrared Scanners

The IS (infrared scanner) is a non-contact sensor which detects infrared radiation emitted by a hot object and provides an analog and/or digital voltage output proportional to the angular position of hot products within its field of view. Its special design and rugged construction makes it ideally suited to the harsh environment found in heavy industry (basic steel, primary aluminum, hot or warm rolling of both ferrous, and non-ferrous metals and alloys, mining, coke works).

The IS-3000-HW (hot width) is an upgraded version of the IS-3000-LS which captures both the leading and trailing edge of a hot product and calculates its width.
