IS-3000-HW

The IS-3000-HW (hot width) is a non-contact scanning sensor for edge position and width measurement of any hot product. The sensor is sensitive to infrared radiation, and provides an analog and/or digital voltage output proportional to the angular position of hot products within its field of view, even at temperatures as low as 200°C (392°F) for steel.

The IS-3000-HW scanner is fully programmable via the RS-232 or RS-485 port using any ASCII terminal. For quick and easy installation and setup, ASC recommends a ASCII keypad, which can be conveniently powered from scanner RS-232 connector. For applications requiring setup and data collection, any PC computer with serial port and running a terminal program can be used.
